Jess Jing Zou, born in 1984, is a Chinese director and writer based out of Shanghai and Los Angeles, a member of Director Guild of America.
Her first short film DUO LI (Lili Alone) won Leitz Cine Discovery Prize for Best Short Film at the 60th La Semaine de La Critique at Cannes 2021.
She’s currently developing her first feature A GIRL UNKNOWN, which was selected in Semaine de la Critique’s Next Step program in 2023. Her goal is to write and direct feature films that explore truths of Chinese modern life.
